The actor shares his happiness after winning the prestigious Kalakaar Award…

Popular actor Shakti Arora, who essays the character of Ranveer in Balaji Telefilms’ popular show Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hin on Colors, is elated on being felicitated with the very prestigious Kalakaar awards in Kolkata.

The young and dedicated actor received the award for the best rising star of the year for portraying the character of Ranveer in his show. It was Shakti’s first award and it’s a happy and proud moment for the actor to receive this award.

We spoke to Shakti to know more about the achievement.

An elated Shakti told us, “It’s the Kalkaar Award based in Kolkata and I received an award for the best rising star of the year. This is my first award and it will always be very precious to me. I have been in the industry since many years and have got nominated many a times but this is the first award that I have received. I am very happy and elated to receive this award and I wish to get many more in future as well. I am doing hard work and we need appreciation when we do hard work.”

Talking about the crazy fan encounter in Kolkata, he added, “I was mobbed by girls in Kolkata and I was running for my life.”

Shakti is thankful to many people in his life who have supported him always. Thanking everyone he says, “My family members were very happy because they have seen my journey in the industry. It’s a proud moment for everyone and for me to receive this award for the best rising star of the year. I would like to thank God, my crew members and my co-actors. I would also like to thank Ekta Kapoor for believing in me that I will carry forward this character well while she explored a new genre with this show. I am happy that I did not disappoint her and the show is doing well. The show is very popular and being watched by the people of all age groups. I would like to thank my Mom, Dad and Neha (Neha Saxena) for supporting me always.”

“What I am today, is just because of my fans. I am able to sustain because of the love of my fans and they are my actual backbone and I am nothing without them. I would like to wish Happy Makar Sakranti to all my fans,” concludes Shakti.
