From Gopi to Gangaa: Utkarsha Naik back as Saas

Seasoned actress Utkarsha Naik who essayed Gopi’s mother-in-law in Saathiya will now go on to be the mother-in-law of Gangaa (Aditi Sharma) in &TV’s popular show, Gangaa (Sphereorigins).
Yes, she will be the new antagonist of the show which is all set to go in for a huge story jump.
For Utkarsha, it will be a home-coming as she will get to portray a ‘rustic’ role, which is actually her forte.
As per sources, “Utkarsha will be the mother of the new lead Shakti Anand, who will go on to wed Gangaa. Her character will be crude with negative shades. She will be seen following the Bihari dialect.”
When contacted, Utkarsha confirmed the news to us saying, “Yes, I am happy to have bagged this role as I love playing the not-so-urban characters. I am looking forward to my entry in Gangaa. As for the role, you will have to wait and watch.”
