Beautiful Payal Rajput who has done daily soaps is excited to do a show of a completely different genre. In Mahakumbh she is essaying the role of Maya who is a strong and a subtle girl. Here in conversation with us she talks about her excitement for this show, about her on-screen chemistry with Gautam Rode and more…
You will be seen on television after a long time where were you these days? She answers, “I was doing Akhir Bahu Bhi To Beti Hee Hai which was of a completely different genre and after a gap I am back to pavilion. After doing a show based on kitchen politics I wanted to try something new so doing this was a good option. When they narrated me the whole story I came to know that the makers are trying to bring something new and I wanted to be a part of it.”
Elaborating on her character she says “My character is of a strong girl, who is intelligent and sorted. Whereas in real life I am completely different, I am sensitive and extremist. My character Maya is very subtle which is little difficult for me but Arvind sir is there to look after it.”
Sharing about her shooting experience, she excitedly avers, “We have been to Baneras and shot there for more than a month. It is difficult to shoot outdoor at times but this production house and team had really made things easy. The atmosphere they create while working pushes me to give my best shot.”
Tell us something about your on-screen chemistry with Gautam in the show? “Gautam Rode has done Saraswatichandra and no doubt he has got the perfect title of king of romance for the role. Even this show has a cute romantic love story so definitely audience will get to watch chemistry between us in the coming days .”
What difference do you feel working with a daily soap and finite series? She answers, ”I would say its really relaxing to do a series, here the quality of work matters more then quantity. I am working with one of the best producer Arvind sir who believes in quality work. Working with Arvind sir and Gautam Rode is surely a learning experience.”
“With Mahakumbh we have something different for the audience and I hope that they like it”. She concludes.
