Yeh Rishta’s Vaishali Takkar ‘enjoyed’ her Cape Town trip

Actress Vaishali Takkar, who essays the role of Sanju, best friend of the grown-up Naksh (Rohan Mehra) in Star Plus’ popular show, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has just returned after a work cum fun-filled trip to Cape Town.

Vaishali, as we know plays a Cape Town born and brought up girl who knows Naksh in and out. If there is a best friend in Naksh’s life, it has to be her. This bubbly and free-spirited girl harbours the aspiration of going to India, and living her life there.

Says Vaishali, “I am excited about my character in Yeh Rishta. I am shown to be a girl living in Cape Town, and I had a fabulous time shooting at the beautiful locales of the place. We did not get enough time for sight-seeing, but we shot our important sequences at the best of scenic places. On the last day of shoot, many of us indulged in adventurous activities.”

Ask her about her ‘shopping’ time, and she states, “Well, most of the big brands are even available here in Mumbai. But we shopped for some of the best dry fruits out there.”

For Vaishali, her stint in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is her official debut show. However, the girl had got finalized to play a significant role in Sony TV’s Maharana Pratap, but things did not work out.

“It is a pleasure being part of the popular show, Yeh Rishta. Post the leap, my character will have a lot of prominence. As of now, viewers will love to watch whether Sanju would accompany Naksh to India or not,” explains the actress.
