I want to enjoy all phases and not directly jump into typical saas-bahu roles: Pragati Chourasiya

Colors’ newly launched show Shastri Sisters (Shakuntalam Telefilms) is garnering lot of appreciation from the masses.
We got in touch with the pretty young girl Pragati Chourasiya, who is portraying the role of the youngest sister Peeya Shastri in the serial.
In a candid chat, she spoke about her character and her aspirations in the entertainment industry.
“I am a SSC pass out and started my career at the age of four with Star Plus’ Kahin Toh Hoga. Later I did Yeh Risha…, played the lead role in Bayttaab Dil Kee Tamanna Hai and also featured in few shows of Balaji Telefilms. My recent projects were Bade Achhe… and Jodha Akbar.”
Talking about her character in Shastri Sisters, she said: “I am playing the youngest sister Peeya. My character is very cute, overprotected by sisters, emotional in nature and gets scared very easily.”
Sounds challenging!!!
If not an actor, the lovely lady shared that she would have been a heart surgeon. Indeed a mature choice. Though young, would she be open to play mature roles?
“I stated my career as a kid and later did many different and challenging roles. So I want to enjoy all phases and not directly jump doing typical bahu roles.”
Lastly, tell us why viewers should watch this show? “It has everything from comedy, drama, sisters bonding and more of youth element.”
