Sukesh Anand to don a new avatar in Star Plus’ Meri Durga

A pro in comedy, actor Sukesh Anand will be seen in an all new avatar in Star Plus’ upcoming show Meri Durga (Ravindra Gautam and Pradeep Kumar’s Paperback Films).
Sukesh, who has done many interesting comic characters in shows Hansi He Hansi, Badi Doooor Se Aaye hai, Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo, Khidki and many others, will for the first time don a serious role with varied shades.
In Meri Durga, Sukesh will play the husband of actor Rakhi Vijan, who would be the bua of the young girl Durga (Ananya Agarwal).
As per sources, “He will be a simpleton who would believe a lot in his wife and her righteous ways.”
When contacted, Sukesh confirmed the news of his entry in Meri Durga stating, “This role is a big one for me, especially because I have done only comedy for many years now. This will be a very different role, a role that I am eagerly looking forward to portray.”
Meri Durga will launch on Star Plus on 26 January.
