Tall and handsome Shashank Vyas, best known as Jagya of Colors’ Balika Vadhu (Sphereorigins), is missing his Tauji in the show. Who are we talking about? Well, we are talking about actor Satyajit Sharma.

Satyajit, playing Basant in the above show, stopped shooting a couple of days ago with his character coming to a logical end.

Over the years, he has churned some of the most fascinating, riveting and captivating scenes in Balika Vadhu. And his exit has made Shashank emotional.

“I know it’s just a death of a character and not a person but I had always looked up to Satyajitji. He was more like an elder brother giving me advice on how to act better. I also used to share the resting room on the set with him and now everything looks so empty, which is not a good feeling,” shares Shashank with us.

“But this is all part and parcel of the industry and I’ll be catching with him often. He was a thorough gentleman with in depth knowledge of the world around.”

In fact, Satyajit’s last scene with Surekha Sikri (Kalyani Devi) is something that touched Shashank’s heart. “It was an extremely touchy scene, beautifully enacted. It will always stay close to my heart.”

Satyajit’s death sequence will air on 22 July 2014.

Viewers will certainly miss him in the show.
