Sahil Phull who got introduced as the new male lead of Colors’ Uttaran (FilmFarm India) has managed to grab a good fan base in just a short span of time. The appreciation has not only come from his loved fans, but also via the nomination at the prestigious Dr. Radhakrishnan awards, to be held in Delhi on 4 September.
Yes, this is true that Sahil has been nominated for his outstanding contribution to TV in Uttaran. The best part here is that he has received this nomination in just two months of being on air.

While this should bring a smile on his fans’ faces, there is one sad news coming their way. Well, his track in Uttaran will soon come to an end.

Yes, you heard it right!! The Pakistani track that opened up in the long-running show, two months back will now see its closure. With this, Meethi (Tina Dutta) will unite with Akash (Mrunal Jain) with Ashfaque (Sahil’s character) being instrumental in bringing them together again.

When contacted, Sahil told us, “Yes, the journey of Uttaran has been very good. I have had a fantastic time being part of the show. I have learned a lot in these two months. However, every journey has to end somewhere, and my track will soon come to an end. We are still to shoot for the finale sequences though.”

When asked about the nomination at the Constitution level, he said, “It is a very flattering thing to get nominated for Dr. Radhakrishnan awards. I have managed to garner a great fan base in just two months, and my fans keep flooding my mails and accounts on networking sites.”

On his future, he explained, “I will want to take up something really good. I am on the lookout for lead roles.”

Sahil, we wish you all the luck!! And may you win the coveted award!!
