Iqbal Khan opens up on quitting Tumhari Paakhi

Dashing, sexy and enticing, Iqbal Khan is undoubtedly one of the most popular actors on television today. He rocked and sizzled on the television screens with his uber cool performance in a double role as Anshuman and Aryaman, in Life OK’s Tumhari Paakhi (Shashi Sumeet Productions).

But a million hearts broke when the eye-candy announced on Twitter about his decision to bid the show adieu:

Bye bye TP … I’m not going to be there but I’m sure the new story line will be great.keep watching .well what can I say..I love you guys (sic)
A second tweet soon followed:

I love you guys so much.not getting into anything new right now but whenever I do..I’m sure u guys will love me the same way.group hug (sic)

While the fans and viewers wonder as to why he decided to quit the show, we checked with Iqbal to dig out the reason behind his sudden exit.

Reveals Iqbal, “I quit the show because I did not like the way the story was progressing. My character needed some changes wherein I would have had to portray some negative shades. That was one of the many reasons which supported my decision of quitting the show. I want to essay something challenging and even if it is not challenging I want to portray a character which people would love to watch.”

Iqbal, however takes back with him some memorable experiences which he will cherish for life.

“I have made some friends for life. Shashi Sumeet Productions has an awesome team and Life OK is one channel which is very approachable unlike other channels. Shraddha Arya is someone whom I shared a great bonding with and we had a ball on sets,” states Iqbal.

Even though Iqbal was recently seen in Bollywood movie Unforgettable, the actor aspires to do more projects on television.

Avers Iqbal, “Unforgettable was something I had acted in long back and the film released now. Television is an awesome medium and I want to do more of television. I hope my fans love me as much in my future projects as much as Anshuman. “
