Confident, bold and composed is Vidhi Pandya, the lady, who has few prominent shows like Balika Vadhu, Tum Aise Hi Rehna in her credit.

Currently essaying the character of grown up Imli in Colors’ drama Udann (Guroudev Bhalla & Dhaval Gada), the lady is performing her role like a total pro.

For the uninitiated, Vidhi was initially selected for the role of Chakor, before the channel decided to cast her for the role of Imli. When we asked her about the entire casting call, Vidhi took some time to settle down and she began to narrate the entire story.

“Well initially I auditioned for the role of Imli, but the channel wanted to rope me in as Chakor. But, after the promo shoot, they were not certain that whether I was an apt choice or not. Then when they had a look at Meera’s (Deosthale) audition tape, they were confident that she was perfect for Chakor’s role while I was for Imli’s. And I happily agreed to their decision as I felt that I will be able to do more justice to Imli’s role”.

So Vidhi, are you not scared of being sidelined by playing the second lead? “To be honest I am not. Even after being the second lead, I will have the opportunity to perform as much as she can. I will be the part of same conferences which Meera will attend in coming days. Moreover, I feel that Meera has rightly adapted the body language and mannerisms of Chakor”.

We finally asked her whether the entire casting change game has embitter her relation with co-star Meera or not. The mature lady, with her usual smile and composed manner replied, “I don’t have any insecurity about Meera. Rather than having any strong feeling towards her, we share a very cordial relation and I believe like sisters, we will grow together as a professional, as well as human beings”.

Such a noble thought dear lady.

We wish you achieve all the success you deserve.
