I got more than 50 hate mails on my birthday: Gaurav Sharma

Gaurav Sharma who celebrated his birthday recently, shared his birthday celebrations in this conversation with us.

The good looking actor Gaurav Sharma, who is currently seen in Star Plus’ popular show Diya Aur Baati Hum and Big Magic’s Naadaaniyaan – Teen Nadaanon Ki Kahaani recently celebrated his birthday.

The birthday boy got a nice surprise by his unit of Naadaaniyaan – Teen Nadaanon Ki Kahaani and he enjoyed a perfect birthday. While he was working on his birthday, he was elated to spend his day with the unit of his other show. Hate mails continued dropping in on his birthday as well and he also gifted something to himself on his birthday.

We spoke to Gaurav to know more about his birthday celebration.

Gaurav shared, “I had a working birthday and I always like to work on my birthdays. After my pack up a day before my birthday, I went to my home and soon after I reached home some of my close friends including my industry friends including my best friend Jay Pathak came to my home to surprise me. I cut my birthday cake along with them and that’s how I celebrated my birthday with them. I also went to the temple to seek God’s blessings on my birthday. I didn’t shoot on the sets of Diya Aur Baati Hum that day but I was shooting for Naadaaniyaan. I got a nice surprise from all of them. From morning itself, everybody was behaving weird to me. Then one person from the unit called me for a shot. When I went there, lights were turned on and everybody started wishing me. I cut the cake and enjoyed celebrating my birthday with them.”

While he portrays the character of a terrorist RK in Diya Aur Baati Hum, Gaurav gets a lot of hate mails which didn’t stop on his birthday. He shared, “Interestingly, one side people were wishing me for my birthday and other side some fans who were unaware of my birthday were bashing me for my character. I got more than 50 hate mails on my birthday but I am happy because it’s a compliment for my character.”

When asked Gaurav about the gifts he received on his birthday, he said, “I have got so many gifts and wishes from my loved ones on my birthday. I have also got so many gifts from my parents. This time I thought of gifting myself something on my birthday and I got a new phone as a birthday gift to myself.”

Thanking all his fans for their wishes, he said, “It’s overwhelming to see so much of love from the fans for me. I would like to thank everyone for their wishes and would like to say to them that keep loving me and showering your blessings and keep watching Naadaaniyaan and Diya Aur Baati Hum and continue loving it.”
