FIR (Edit II Productions) has undoubtedly been one of the best shows on SAB TV and today the laugh riot has completed eight years of successful airing.

Recently, the series went for a time slot change and adopted a new ‘live audience’ format.

While the team will perform a cake cutting ceremony followed by celebrations on the sets, the telecast tonight will witness Imam chowky convert itself into a wonderful set-up where the team will gather to participate in a Mushaira.

In conversation with writer Amit Aryan who has been a part of the show from the time of its inception, he said, “I cannot believe that we have completed eight long years.

When we started in 2006 we never thought that the show will be so loved and appreciated. From being a daily show, FIR was then converted to being a bi-weekly. But everything has been good all this while.”

Gopi Bhalla aka Inspector Gopinath added, “These eight years past in a jiffy and now with the new format we are set to create new moments of happiness and laughter in the 9th year. I feel blessed to be a part of a show like FIR.”

All our attempts to reach Sanjay Kohli, producer of Edit II Productions; protagonist of the show, Kavita Kaushik and Sandeep Anand aka Billu proved futile.
