Last seen in Star Plus show Diya Aur Baati Hum on Star Plus, Vicky Arora has bagged yet another big banner project in his kitty!

Seen as Amit Mehrotra in Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil, Vicky indulges in a candid chat about his association with Star Plus, his experience shooting for the show and his rapport with his co-actors.

Vicky, you have been a part of Diya Aur Baati Hum in the past and now you are a part of another big project by a leading channel in your kitty. How does it feel?

It is always a delightful feeling when you are associated with big projects with leading channels as they offer bigger responsibilities, challenges and a sense of satisfaction that your talent has been recognized! Of course, this is just a beginning and it only gets better from here!

Please shed some light on your rapport with co-stars. How is it to work with your co-star Drashti Dhami?

Dhrashti is one of the sweetest and caring co-star I’ve ever worked with. She never made me feel like I’m shooting with a big celebrity.

Why did you choose to do this role?

When I started my career three years ago, I use to give three auditions in a day, on an average 70-80 auditions in a month, and approximately 800 auditions in a year. So after nearly 2000 auditions in 3 years, I got a chance to play a role opposite one of the biggest TV celebrities, on the number.1 channel with the no.1 production house at Primetime, I don’t think to say NO was an option!

What are the challenges you think you will face while projecting this character?

There’s so much more to Amits’s character than what meets the eye! It is a challenge at every step to portray Amit. More than anything else, it is challenging to be better every time you face the camera. Understanding Amit as a person and his journey also comes in as a challenge as the character has to be portrayed with most precision to justify the role and make it entertaining for the viewers.

Any particular memory you recall while shooting for Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil?

Traveling to Austria was the most amazing part of our shooting schedule! We all had so much fun and bonded so well. I miss Austria.

Good luck Vicky!
