I always wanted to do a show with kids – Gungun Uprari

Sphere Origins’ Gangaa, which is all set to hit the screens soon, will see actress Gungun Uprari essaying the character of a mother in the show. While, Gungun is portraying such a character for the first time, we ask her the reason of taking up the show, her character and more in this conversation.

What made you to take up this show?

The storyline appealed me a lot. Also the concept is very different and the main reason is that kids always attract me. We have a young and bubbly girl in this show and I always wanted to do something with kids that is why the reason, I took this show.

Tell us something about your character?

I am playing the character of Madhvi in this show who is Niranjan’s (Hiten Tejwani) wife. Niranjan is a lawyer who brings Ganga at home after her parents and husband passes away. However, we do not share any relationship with Ganga but still take care of her and the show traces our journey with her.

How different is this show from your previous shows?

The concept is something I have never been a part of. The show portrays the life of a small young girl who becomes widow at a very early age. Still she leads a good life and struggles for it. So basically the show is based on a kid. While my last show Buddha was a historical one and now, I am again back in a daily soap with a unique concept.
Also there are very professional and popular actors with whom I am getting a chance to work with in this show.

Lastly any message for the viewers?

It is a story of six year old girl, being a widow how will she enjoy her life and the way we will support her. Viewers must watch as it is very different story and they will enjoy it.
